The CMS said it will fine specialty hospitals $10,000 a day for failing to report their financial structure to the agency and require such hospitals to disclose to patients their financial relationships with physicians. The steps are part of a regulatory oversight plan announced as the CMS allowed a federal moratorium on new specialty hospitals expire today.
