3 New Performance Measures for Hospitals

The National Quality Forum (NQF) announced three new measures of hospital peforjmance, bringing the total standards recognized by NQF to 69. Since 2003, NQF has been standardizing mesures for public reporting of hospitalk performance. The new report presents three new measures - one for acute myocardial infraction mortality, one for congestive heart failure mortality and the final measure for corodination of care at the time of hospital discharge.
