Physicians can expect a 10% reduction in Medicare Payments in 2008, according to the Congressional Budget Office. Legislation that was passed on December 20th eliminated the 2007 reductions in the Physician Fee Schedule.

Specialty Hospitals Renew Development

On August 8, 2006 Congress declined to expand the ban on Specialty Hospitals. Now, less than a month later, as many as 30 physician-owned hospitals are being planned for the next year.
